Privacy Statement

CybeREUNION is committed to protecting our users' privacy. To that end, we offer this statement to inform our users of how we define, gather and utilize personally identifiable information.

CybeREUNION will take reasonable steps to protect member privacy consistent with the guidelines set forth in this policy and the law.

CybeREUNION defines personally identifiable information as information that includes any combination of the following: a person's full name, address, telephone number, date of birth and/or email address.

CybeREUNION gathers information on our users in three different ways:

  • Users supply it in response to a registration request from us.
    • This information is used during the registration process only, and is provided to the school or other event sponsoring body for their use after the event is complete. Only a name and email address are required for registration, all other requested information is optional.
  • You supply it as biographical information during an event.
    • This information is available to all persons attending a CybeREUNION, during the course of the event. You have the option of not providing this information should you choose.
      • You will have the opportunity to enter this information to your personal account at any time during a live event, and you may also remove it at any time. See online help during the event for details. While this information is recorded by the CybeREUNION server, it is encoded, and not intended for use outside of the event. An archive of the accounts log is provided to the school or other event-sponsoring body for their records after the event is complete.
      • You will have the opportunity to enter this information live online at any time during a live event. There is no way to remove this information once entered While this information is recorded by the CybeREUNION server, it is not intended for use outside of the event. An archive of the events log is provided to the school or other event-sponsoring body for their records after the event is complete.
      • You will have the opportunity to enter this information with every entry to a bulletin board. To remove an entry to the bulletin board, you will have to contact the event manager. An archive of the bulletin board log is provided to the school or other event-sponsoring body for their records after the event is complete.
  • Cookie Technology.
    • CybeREUNION utilizes cookie technology to process and identify participants in events. A cookie is a piece of information transferred to a user's hard drive for record-keeping purposes only. We use cookies to notify the server of who you are and to access your account information (stored on the server) in order to deliver more personalized service. This cookie is set when you register or "Sign In" and is erased when you "Sign Out" of our services.

We request that a user be 18 years of age or older before submitting personally identifiable information and we ask minors to get permission from their parents or legal guardian before submitting personally identifiable information.

CybeREUNION may use email addresses or other personally identifiable information to contact users who directly communicate with CybeREUNION. For example, CybeREUNION may contact users to notify them that they have won a contest or to provide requested email event updates.

CybeREUNION will provide users with the chance to opt-out of opportunities to receive event updates or other communications from CybeREUNION or its event sponsoring body. To exercise opt-out rights, a user must submit an Opt Out request as outlined on the event update.

CybeREUNION encourages users to be smart about choosing when and to whom they release information online.

CybeREUNION reserves the right to modify, alter or otherwise update this policy at any time, so users are encouraged to review this policy from time to time.

CybeREUNION will not disclose any of your personal information, except as described above, or when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to protect the rights or property of CybeREUNION or the Hosts.
